Wanna make a book?
After publishing five volumes of The Cost of Paper, 1888 Center have learned a thing or two about turning unique content into breathtaking, printable, and portable formats. We want to share this knowledge with you. Work directly with William M. Brandon III and Audrey Woodsum as you learn our DIY techniques to publish yourself, your friends, even your enemies.
This workshop, led by William Brandon and Audrey Woodsum, both authors and editors, will serve as an introduction to publishing for anyone who wants to learn more or get involved and create. The class will cover the basics of planning, layout, and design, and includes collaborative work and one-on-one instruction from William and Audrey.*
*students will need to bring a laptop with 1) Microsoft Word and 2) Calibre, and 3) or Kindle Reader. Calibre and Kindle Reader are free for download.
