Since the co-working movement began in San Francisco in the late 1990s, the concept has since spread around the world with over 2,000 spaces in America alone. On Wednesday, March 30th, join us in hearing from three small, but mighty design firms on why they ditched their traditional office suites for the camaraderie and historic charms of Batch in Downtown Santa Ana.
First, we’ll hear from Sarah Armstrong, the founder of Batch and designer behind A Name Brand Co. We’ll learn what compelled her to open a collaborative workspace and how she manages to juggle her design role while running a creative community.
The night will continue with Petre Spassov of Petre Spassov Design. From developing websites and apps to running a type foundry on the side, Petre redefines the meaning of multi-disciplinary designer and will share with us the perks and challenges of freelancing in a co-working space.
We’ll also enjoy November in March with an inside look at November Press. Creative Director Avo Adourian will shed light on how he utilizes his love of serving others to create memorable brand experiences for his clients and the public.
Lastly, we’ll finish the night with a Q&A session with all three designers, all while enjoying beer and munchies. This is a field trip you won’t want to miss!
